In an interview with Fresnoland reporter Julianna Morano yesterday, Fresno City Councilmember Miguel Arias announced that food and street vendors will officially make their return to the beloved downtown street fair, which brought upwards of 15,000 people to the streets on the first Thursday of each month before its sudden closure last August. Trump roasts California high-speed rail, again: are we surprised? In an meeting with the new Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, President Trump said he’d welcome Gov. Gavin Newsom to run for president in 2028, but his ongoing support for the fast train makes him “unelectable.” Politico

And Trump also plans to yank federal financial support: Trump also added in the interview that the U.S. government won’t be paying for the high-speed rail project, although it wasn’t clear if this applies to future funding, or whether the reference was about a $4 billion grant to the project currently under inspection after Transportation Secretary Duffy announced a probe in February.
