When I think of Los Angeles, it’s hard not to envision freeways, cars, and a sprawling concrete jungle.
But did you know that LA has built one of the fastest-growing transit systems in the US over the past decade? And that over tens of millions of people ride their light rail and buses each year?
It’s hard to imagine a world in Fresno where most of us aren’t stuck driving most places. But is there anything we can learn from the Southland?
We’re excited to host the visionary leaders behind LA’s transit transformation in Fresno on Thursday, September 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Tioga Sequoia, in downtown Fresno:
- Antonio Villaraigosa, former Los Angeles Mayor, former Speaker, California State Assembly, and former California Infrastructure Advisor to Gov. Gavin Newsom
- Denny Zane, former Santa Monica Mayor/Councilmember and founder, Move LA
- Tyler Maxwell, Fresno City Councilmember
I’ll be moderating the discussion, and we’ll make sure to save plenty of time for your questions.
Tickets are just $5 (or free for Fresnoland members with a special code in your inbox!). Reserve them now while they’re available!
