Kerman City Council
The Kerman City Council makes decisions for the scope, direction and financing of city services. It also establishes policy that is administered and implemented by city staff, as well as establishing land-use policies through the General Plan and zoning regulations.
Meetings usually occur at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at Kerman City Hall, 850 S. Madera Avenue. It is also accessible through Zoom.
The council adopted a list of projects funded by SB-1, approved a 10% Transient Occupancy Tax for the November ballot and the final budget, which showed a General Fund deficit of $3.7 million.
The council approved a transient occupancy tax initiative for the November 2022 ballot and received the results of the 2020 Urban Water Management Plan, which showed the city’s per capita water use was well below the target.
The council approved the city’s Local Road Safety Plan and a management zone agreement with the Kings Water Alliance for compliance with the nitrate control program.
