Dayana Jiselle was born and raised in southeast Fresno, CA. She is a mother of two and daughter of immigrants from Mexico. She received her B.A. in Mass Communications and Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcasting where she served as an officer for the Radio Digital Television National Association club and hosted an on-campus radio show "The Dog Dish."
She then worked as a radio personality with iHeartMedia’s B95 and the Spanish station, La Preciosa.
In 2020, she received her M.A. in Humanities from California State University, Northridge.
During the pandemic, she became an engagement reporter for Fresnoland reporting on housing, jobs, and hosted panel conversations around the George Floyd shooting and racial protests. She is currently a freelance reporter for Fresnoland and is serving as a senior project manager for a local organization.
