- Staff reported that there are 10 active cases of the West Nile Virus in Kings County.
- The Kings County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, Sept. 12 to discuss and approve new job specifications and salary ranges in the Human Resources Department.
- The board also authorized the Human Resources director’s side letters of agreement with the following: General and Supervisor’s Membership of the California League of City Employees’ Association, Probation Officers’ Association, Prosecutor’s Association, Firefighters’ Association and Blue Collar Membership of Service Employees International Union.
- Regarding the Public Works Department, the board approved adopting a resolution accepting an additional right of way on behalf of the general public for the county along Houston Avenue. The board also approved the plans and specifications for the new fabric shade structure at the Burris Park Amphitheater.
