The Fresno Planning Commission moved forward more homes in North Fresno’s Copper River Ranch and learned the American Planning Association’s California Chapter Conference will be held in Fresno.

What happened: At the Feb. 15 Fresno Planning Commission meeting, the commissioners moved forward a 39-lot subdivision in North Fresno’s Copper River Ranch.

The lots will be developed by Gary McDonald Homes and be located partially within a gated community along the golf course at North Alicante Drive and North Willow Avenue in Council District 6.

And also: The Planning and Development Department also presented a workshop on the American Planning Association’s California Chapter Conference in September. The event will be held at the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center Sept. 16 to 19.

Projects from Fresno’s Planning and Development Department will be showcased to 600-800 planners from across California

Up next: The Fresno Planning Commission is scheduled to meet again on March 1 at 6 p.m.
