🚲 May is bike month, and there’s plenty of scheduled rides to celebrate. Ride with Mayor Dyer this afternoon, or join Bike to Work Day tomorrow. Energy stations will be set up by the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Manchester Center and near the Tower Theatre.
Also, for the cyclists who also love history, yoga, or tacos – there’s a Bicycle Extravaganza this Saturday, May 18 starting at 8:30 a.m. at Tower Yoga. The ride through the Tower District will be led by James Sponsler, head of the city’s Historic Preservation Commission, and will end at noon, with tacos from La Jacka available for purchase.
If you want something more low-key, Slowest Locals Bicycle Collective is hosting a family friendly “slow ride” this Sunday, May 19 from Spokeasy in the Tower District to Tioga Sequoia downtown, and back. To join, meet up at Spokeasy between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m.
