Jim Costa (D-Fresno) introduced a bill that would create specialized training for code enforcement officers, with a focus on public health threats linked to building code violations, the Fresno Business Journal reported. David Valadao (R-Hanford) cosponsored the bill, which comes more than a year after the discovery of an illegal medical lab in Reedley.
