🏫 Fresno Unified’s board meeting to discuss the new superintendent search is this evening at 4:30 p.m. With Trustee Claudia Cazares now joining the call for a national search process, along with Trustees Susan Wittrup, Veva Islas, and Andy Levine – it appears a majority may have emerged to reject an internal-only search. Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula even added his weight to the call for a national search with a strongly-worded statement yesterday, saying, “Change is urgently needed in Fresno Unified, the State’s third largest school district. It’s imperative that the Fresno Unified governing members do NOT shortcut the search process.”
