Rain and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day and into the evening, with daytime highs in the 50s and overnight lows in the 40s.

❎ A recent attack ad in a special Fresno City Council election accusing candidate Brandon Vang of statutory rape in the 1990s has been widely criticized as dirty politics — but while Vang and his wife deny any wrongdoing ever took place, they acknowledged in an interview with The Fresno Bee that Vang’s wife was under the age of 18 in 1993 when their child was born.

😷A Fresno County resident is one of five known cases of Measles currently in California, ABC30 reported this week. Before showing symptoms, the unnamed resident — who health officials said was not vaccinated — attended an event in Madera County with about 200 other people. Officials say the threat to the general public remains low.
