Good morning! Today is Wednesday, March 27. Look out for rain later today, through Thursday – the National Weather Service in Hanford is projecting a weak storm system to make its way through the area this evening.

Kon’nichiwa, Fresno! A group of city leaders – including Mayor Jerry Dyer, Councilmembers Luis Chavez, Nelson Esparza, Tyler Maxwell, as well as Fresno Economic Development Corporation CEO Will Oliver and Downtown Fresno Partnership CEO Elliott Balch – are in Japan this week. Yesterday, the group met with U.S. Ambassador to Japan, Rahm Emmanuel, learning more about the country’s high-speed-rail system and stations.

Applications open for Fresno County’s ‘community standards’ library book review committee

Fresno County residents have until April 26 to apply for a new, controversial committee charged with reviewing library books to ensure they “meet community standards.”
