☀️ Good morning! It’s Tuesday, July 16. This is Rob. Hot and sunny again today (but not 115!) with a high of 100 and an overnight low of around 68, according to the National Weather Service. This month’s stretch of 13 consecutive days above 105 was the second longest streak on record, CBS47 reported. Temperatures are expected to dip (just) below 100 on Wednesday before heating back up above the century mark by the weekend.

🛶 The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust is hosting its San Joaquin River Kayak Tour on Saturday, July 20. The event takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and costs $60. Advanced registration is required, and all participants must be 12 and older. Participants are encouraged to bring lunch, and the trip will last about four hours.

🏡 Some Fresno City College students face eviction from subsidized housing that the state says could be saved with a new grant, but community college officials expressed little interest in applying for the money, The Fresno Bee reported. In fact, The Bee reported, the college didn’t even know about the state grant until they were contacted for comment by Bee reporter Leqi Zhong.
