The People's March on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno. Gisselle Medina | Fresnoland

On this week’s Fresnolandia, Jordan and Danielle speak with Sabina Gonzalez-Eraña, a local community advocate and political expert, and Tal Eslick, founder and lobbyist with Vista Consulting, about what President Trump’s first two weeks in office mean for Fresno.

They go into the impacts of the immigration-related executive orders and rhetoric, how much employers are concerned about potential ICE raids, and whether we’re on the precipice of fascism or massive immigration reform (or both). They also discuss the federal funding freeze and whether it’s possible in the current environment to evaluate wasteful spending without agreement on values.
