What happened: At its March 7 meeting, the Tulare County Board of Supervisors approved a rezone from single-family residential for two parcels in Goshen to allow the development of 11 duplexes near Avenue 308 and Camp Drive.
Aaron Bock of the Tulare County Resource Management Agency said that there is concern about the sewer system in the area, however the city of Visalia is evaluating capacities.
Bock said that according to the Goshen Community Plan 2018 the projected need for single-family housing is 2,541 homes by 2040.
And also: The supervisors also approved a request from the Sheriff’s Office for a 5% salary increase for the undersheriff position and for one assistant sheriff position, effective March 12, to keep salaries consistent between executive management positions after an assistant sheriff was promoted.
