Feb. 22, 2023 — Fresno Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee

What happened: At the Feb. 22 Fresno Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) meeting the Fresno Police Department reported that since the beginning of 2023, there have been 306 total collisions, of which 26 were pedestrians and six bicyclists.

This includes fatal numbers, with six pedestrians, one bicyclist, and three motor vehicles versus motor vehicles. 

And also: BPAC Members were also provided with an overview of the Brown Act and the purpose of the committee, in addition to a presentation on the Safe2School Program, which helps provide safe passages to and from school.
