What happened: The Clovis Planning Commission approved a new 10,056-square-foot childcare facility located on the north side of Shaw Avenue, between Fowler and Laverne Avenues. The daycare will serve a maximum of 100 children between the ages of 18 months to four years old with 14 teachers. It will be operated by Little Angels Day Care LLC.
And also: Since the commission did not have a set of adopted rules and procedures, the commissioners voted to establish them based mainly on Rosenberg’s Rules of Order. The rules stipulate that three votes are required to pass any motion related to a public hearing, regardless of the number of commissioners in attendance, but that a majority of those in attendance can approve non-public hearing items.
