Here's how Donald Trump managed to win Fresno County for the first time in his career.

With President Donald Trump officially inaugurated, the dust from the November 2024 presidential election has officially settled, and we can now answer the question people secretly want to know: Did my neighbors vote the way I did?

Trump cracked the code in Fresno County in this cycle – a feat that he couldn’t accomplish in 2016, winning 50.89% of voters who showed up. This was the first presidential election since 2004 that Fresno County voted for a Republican to sit in the Oval Office, with the last time being George W. Bush’s re-election bid in 2004.

Across Fresno County, there’s a few consistent neighborhood voting patterns. Clovis remains a haven for Republicans. Most Fresno neighborhoods south of Herndon remain reliably Democrat, except for the Van Ness Extension and Sunnyside. Most small towns have a blue center and a red ring, except for notoriously conservative Kingsburg – and the rural farm country, along with the mountain communities, remain reliably red.

Fresno’s most pro-Trump neighborhoods are along the San Joaquin River bluffs, where some precincts exceeded 75% or even 80% support. The most pro-Harris neighborhoods were in west Fresno, where a few precincts exceeded 75% support for the failed attempt by the former Vice President.
