On this week’s Fresnolandia podcast, Jordan and Dani talk with Fresnoland’s housing reporter, Pablo Orihuela, about the city’s latest efforts to ban camping in public spaces – effectually wiping out many homeless encampments. Fresno County has a similar ban in the works, and Gov. Gavin Newsom also announced an executive order a few weeks ago directing state agencies to clear out encampments on state property as well.

They also discuss the city council’s controversial decision to deny a development permit for a market-rate affordable housing complex near Tatarian Elementary in northwest Fresno; and, everyone talks about their favorite Olympic events to watch.
